Kitchen Inspiration Board: It’s Teal Time

| Colour & Design Inspiration

Teal Kitchen Inspiration MoodBoardWell hello again blogosphere. It’s been a while since I’ve been here in my little corner of cyberspace. I’ve missed you. A couple of months ago we bought a nice little 1930’2 suburban number. We’ve embarked on an 8 week renovation, top to bottom, sideways, backwards and every which way you can imagine. It’s left little to no time to escape to Visual Toast for some creative respite, until now whoop whoop! Predicatably this post is inspired by my awwwesome new kitchen – I’m going to show off now:

  1. I have a breakfast bar people. Oh yes.
  2. And an island.
  3. And one of those posh vegetable washer taps.
  4. And a pull out larder
  5. AND a Range Cooker

Teal Kitchen Colour PaletteOh stop me now before I get too excited and my keyboard explodes! So of course now to accessorising my lovely new kitchen (Pinterest inspiration board over here). above you’ll see my Kitchen Inspiration Moodboard. As you can see, my colour of choice is teal. My love for pattern is inspired by Moroccan textures. I’ve kept the decor and units pretty neutral – lots of white, black appliances and neutral walls, so I can accessorise with pictures, utensils, curtains, cushions, etc etc.

Now I can’t wait to invite my ladies around for a cuppa in the new kitchen at the breakfast bar of course. The Infinity Instruments clock I found on Amazon UK  which is now on my Xmas wish list. Check out the gorgeous ‘Galaxy’ bar stools  from Lakeland Furniture (they have a seriously impressive array of bar stools and funky seating in a myriad of colours). They look so comfy. I will be putting the world to rights from these little beauties whilst I sip tea from the lovely teacups adorned by hunky men, I spotted at Zara At Home online.

“Don’t worry darling, I won’t be using the credit card… ;) Because…”

I’m currently working on my wares for my first big craft fair in Brighton on 7th December: Art Junky at the Phoenix Gallery. So I won’t be needing that credit card hubby. I’ll be romping my way to the bank/ZAH hopefully with the dosh I’ve made at the craft fair of course :) More on that later.

What’s your choice of colour for the kitchen? Please share your kitchen inspiration!
